So what exactly is collagen? Beef corium collagen is the layer of raw material on top of the muscle meet in cattle. Its not rawhide. Collagen is broken down in the stomach and digested like food. Rawhide simply passes through the system without being digested. 

The collagen layer is washed in filtered water, trimmed, hand crafted into rolls, bones or other forms, and dried. High in protein, low in fat, and helps to eliminate plaque build up.
