Whole Life pet treats are freeze-dried by the same facilities that freeze dry foods for human consumption and therefore under strict USDA inspection and supervision. This allows them to ensure the highest quality standard and know where their fish/meats come from in all their products unlike most other companies that rely on the manufacturers that produce their treats to source their meat for them.
Each batch of product is submitted for micro testing prior to being used in production.  If a batch fails it never makes their production facility and is disposed of.  They test for: Yeast, Mold, Salmonella, E. Coli
Coliforms (harmful bacteria), and Staphylococcus aureus
